Chalk it up to a bad mood following a 66-58 loss to UConn, or perhaps it's something deeper, but Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim ripped into ESPN's longtime college basketball reporter Andy Katz Wednesday night.

Following the final game between the Orange and the Huskies, Boeheim was asked by Katz during the press conference what the rivalry has meant to him. He responded by telling Katz he won't answer his questions and that he's an "idiot and really a disloyal person." Another reporter immediately followed up with virtually the same question, and Boeheim responded.

Footage of the exchange can be seen below at the 1:24 mark, via DailyOrangeMedia:

Katz: “Jim, what has the series with UConn meant to you and to Syracuse?”

Jim Boeheim: “I’ll answer anybody’s question but yours. Because you’re an idiot and really a disloyal person. And a few other things that I can add, but I’m not going to go there.”

There are a few theories as to what apparently bothered Boeheim about Katz, as explored by Jeff Eisenberg of Yahoo! Sports:

One is that Katz reported information pertaining to James Southerland's academic issues that Boeheim believed he had shared off the record. Another is the Syracuse coach is still angry over a November 29, 2011 story Katz wrote that touched on Boeheim's laissez-faire approach to running the program and the relationship between the Boeheim family and Bernie Fine.
