Alex Rodriguez, in his first public appearance in a Yankees uniform since Game 4 of the 2012 American League Championship Series, said his rehabilitation from left hip surgery is going well. Rodriguez declined to comment on his involvement with Major League Baseball's current investigation with the Biogenesis clinic in Coral Gables, Florida.

Rodriguez was not with the team during Spring Training but was on the bench for the Yankees Opening Day game against the Boston Red Sox. He is expected to re-join the club some time around the All-Star break.

"We're in the very beginning -- I would say Stage 1 -- in this recovery," Rodriguez said. "The recovery is going very well. I've been devoting 100 percent of my time and my focus into getting back and playing and helping this team win a title."
