The St. Louis Cardinals activated All-Star catcher Yadier Molina from the 15-day disabled list, the team announced Thursday.

Molina hasn't played since July 30 due to soreness in his right knee.

Molina is hitting .330 with 30 doubles, eight homers and 54 RBI in 98 games this year and was considered an MVP candidate at the time he was injured.  The Cardinals are 12-13 when he hasn't played this season.
