New England Patriots running back Shane Vereen will undergo surgery to repair a broken bone in his left wrist, according to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer. Vereen is expected to be out of action for a "few weeks," according to Glazer.
Vereen suffered the injury on his first play in the Patriots' 23-21 win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Vereen replaced starting running back Stevan Ridley after Ridley was benched for turning the ball over twice in the first half.
