Notre Dame will play in the Pinstripe Bowl, according to CBSSports.com's Jeremy Fowler.

Their opponent has not been announced. The game will be December 28 at Yankee Stadium in New York City.

The Irish finished this season 8-4, a year after finishing the regular season 12-0 and making it to the BCS National Championship Game.

Under its original agreement, the bowl pits the No. 4 team from the American Athletic Conference against the No. 7 selection from the Big 12. If no team qualifies, Notre Dame would receive that bid.
