Agent: Dodgers have no plans to trade Matt Kemp

The Los Angeles Dodgers have no plans to trade All-Star center fielder Matt Kemp, according to Kemp's agent.

Kemp still has six years and $128 million left on his contract.

Kemp's agent, Dave Stewart, met with the Dodgers on Wednesday and said he was told the Dodgers plan to keep Kemp rather than put him on the trading block.

"They said they have no plans to move him -- bottom line," Stewart via ESPN.com's Jayson Stark.

Stewart said both he and Kemp considered that to be good news because the two-time All-Star doesn't want to leave Los Angeles.

"We're both happy about it," he said.

Kemp, 29, played in only 73 games in an injury-plagued 2013 season, undergoing surgery on his shoulder and ankle. He hit just six home runs and drove in 33 runs.
