Police in England are investigating former Manchester United Manager David Moyes for his alleged role in a reported assault on a 23-year-old man at a Lancashire wine bar on Wednesday night, according to a report on Thursday from Sandra Laville of The Guardian.

Police are using CCTV to piece together what happened and are talking to various witnesses and people who were in the area at the time of the reported assault, which reportedly took place in the town of Clitheroe. No arrests were made and the young man was not hospitalized, according to the report.

The 51-year-old Moyes was let go by Manchester United in April with four games remaining before the end of his first season. United had its worst season in a number of years, finishing seventh in the Premier League and failing to qualify for next year's UEFA Champions League.
