Barcelona finishes off Real Sociedad, sets up Copa del Rey final vs. Real Madrid

There will be at least two more Clasicos this season.

Barcelona joined rival Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final after finishing off Real Sociedad on Wednesday 3-1 on aggregate (following their 1-1 draw). Just like Cristiano Ronaldo did early against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday, Lionel Messi took away most of the suspense from their second leg with an early goal of his own -- one on which he scored despite five defenders bearing down on him.

Barcelona and Real Madrid will play a league match on March 22 in addition to the Copa final later in the year. There is also always a chance that the two Spanish powers meet in the UEFA Champions League knockout stage as well, though both must progress from the round of 16 first. Barcelona tangles with Manchester City in a high-profile pairing, while Real Madrid, which pasted city rival Atletico Madrid 5-0 on aggregate in their Copa semifinal, has a two-leg date with German club Schalke.
