Mavericks owner Mark Cuban took a shot at the Clippers before Thursday’s game, telling reporters that “the Clippers are who they’ve been for the past 30 years.” The Clippers poked fun at Cuban, putting him on the “kiss cam” with Clippers owner Steve Ballmer.

• Cleveland Cavs star LeBron James believes that Kevin Love will return to “All-Star status” this season, reports ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.

• Indiana Pacers forward Paul George has been fined $10,000 by the league for publicly criticizing officials after the team's loss to the Toronto Raptors Wednesday night, the NBA announced on Thursday.

• Pacers fans taunted Memphis Grizzlies forward Matt Barnes with chants of “Derek Fisher” during Memphis' 112–103 road win over the Pacers. The chants were in response to Barnes’s alleged confrontation with Fisher over Barnes’ estranged wife Gloria Govan in early October.

• Los Angeles Lakers rookie D’Angelo Russell is moving back to the position of point guard, reports by Mark Medina of the L.A. Daily News.

• Atlanta Hawks swingman Thabo Sefolosha says he had “nightmares” following his arrest outside a New York nightclub in April, reports GQ magazine. Sefolosha suffered a broken fibula and several torn ligaments due to the incident. He was found not guilty of all charges, including obstruction of governmental administration, earlier this month.

• The Los Angeles Clippers made 61 background check calls regarding small forward Lance Stephenson before trading for him this past June, reports Sam Amick of USA Today.
