As the Warriors chased a different record in a 125–104 victory, Stephen Curry took care of a personal milestone on Wednesday night.
Curry entered the final game of the season sitting on 392 made threes on the year, an NBA record (he long ago broke the single-season mark of 286, which he set last year.) He took the court against the Grizzlies in Oakland and came out firing, draining five of his first six attempts—all threes—and finished the first quarter with six of nine makes, all taken from beyond the arc. He had 20 points.

When he checked back in in the second quarter, the Warriors led 50–37. He hit his seventh of the game with 2:47 to go and went into halftime sitting on 399.
And, fittingly, the Warriors’ first bucket of the second half was No. 400.
Curry, who already is the first to hit 300, is now the first player to hit 400 three-pointers in a season. The single-game record for threes in a game is 12, shared by Kobe Bryant and Donyell Marshall. The reigning MVP finished with a game-high 46 points and 10 three-pointers.

With the win, the Warriors became the first ever team to win 73 games, breaking the 72–10 mark set by the 1995–96 Chicago Bulls.
