Heat Trade Victor Oladipo to Thunder, per Report

After spending the 2016–17 season with the ThunderVictor Oladipo bounced around the league, playing for three teams over the next six seasons. Now, the veteran wing is reportedly headed back to Oklahoma City.

The Heat are trading Oladipo to the Thunder after his two-plus seasons in Miami, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

The move will create a $9.45 million trade exception for the Heat.

Oladipo, who was originally drafted by the Magic in 2013, was traded to the Heat from the Rockets during the 2020–21 season. He battled injuries throughout his tenure in Miami, featuring in just 54 total games. A torn patellar tendon late in Game 3 of the Heat’s first-round series against the Bucks ended his 2022–23 campaign.

While healthy, however, the 31-year-old has proven to be a valuable asset. In 2017–18, the last season in which he played at least 50 games, Oladipo averaged 23.1 points and a league-leading 2.4 steals per game as he made his first All-Star appearance.

Last year, he averaged 10.7 points per game on 40% shooting from the floor.
