Nikola Jokić’s Latest Behind-the-Back Dime Had ‘NBA on TNT’ Crew in Awe
Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokić wasted no time making his first highlight play of the night in Thursday’s 114–106 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
With 10:26 to play in the first quarter, Jokić was at the left elbow with his back to the basket, and dropped a behind-the-back dime to a cutting Justin Holiday for an easy layup.
The NBA on TNT crew was left floored, failing to find the words for Jokić’s unreal dish.
The pass to Holiday was one of nine assists for Jokić on the night. He also finished with 24 points and 13 rebounds, falling one assist shy of a triple-double.
The Nuggets improved to 36–16 on the season, and now sit in a two-way tie with the Minnesota Timberwolves atop the Western Conference, as the franchise chases its second straight championship.
