The Pelicans selected Kentucky center Nerlens Noel with the No. 6 pick in the 2013 draft and promptly traded him along with a protected 2014 first-round pick to the Sixers in exchange for All-Star point guard Jrue Holiday and the No. 42 pick in the 2013 draft, according to multiple reports.
Noel, 19, was seen as the odds-on favorite to be the No. 1 pick in the draft before sliding out of the top-five on draft night. He is currently recovering from a season-ending knee injury.
