At a team luncheon on Tuesday, Cincinnati Bengals' head coach Marvin Lewis said defensive tackle Geno Atkins will start training camp on the physically unable to perform list, Paul Dehner of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Lewis said that Atkins, who is recovering from a torn ACL that occurred in October, is in "a good spot." In nine games prior to the injury last season, Atkins had 6.0 sacks after having 12.5 sacks in 2012.

Dehner also reports that defensive coordinator Paul Guenther said he sees Atkins playing in Week 1.

The Bengals also placed cornerback Leon Hall on the PUP list with an Achilles injury.
