The Arizona Cardinals are expected to sign defensive end/linebacker LaMarr Woodley, according to Mike Garafolo and Peter Schrager of Fox Sports.

Woodley, 30, spent last season with the Oakland Raiders but was limited to six games by a torn biceps. The Raiders released him last week.

Before signing a two-year deal with the Raiders, Woodley spent seven seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers after the team picked him in the second round of the 2007 draft.

Over 100 career games, Woodley has recorded 304 tackles, 56 sacks, 16 pass deflections and five interceptions. His most productive seasons came in 2009 (his lone Pro Bowl year) and 2010, when he both played all 16 games and tied his career-high of five sacks in each season.

Signing Woodley is not expected to end the Cardinals' pursuit of free-agent linebacker Brian Orakpo, reports John Keim of ESPN.com. On Monday, Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinsonreported the Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts and Washington Redskins are the three front-runners to land Orakpo.
