Terrell Owens ripped former Vikings wideout and current ESPN analyst Cris Carter for constantly criticizing him during his appearance as a guest on Mike and Mike Wednesday morning.

“[Cris Carter] is a guy that’s criticized me plenty of times, for anything,” Owens said. “For me, that was something that motivated me....For somebody like that, for Cris Carter to come out and say something like that, I just felt like it was disrespectful. And so now, when you look at where I am statistically, I’ve surpassed him. And from what I’ve heard, from a lot of guys, he begged his way into the Hall of Fame.”

Owens conceded that Carter does indeed have Hall of Fame–worthy numbers.

“True,” he said.

Owens, who ranks second on the all-time receiving list with 15,934 career yards, was not selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year on the ballot. Carter ranks 12th on that list, and made the Hall of Fame in 2013.

T.O. also posted this photo later Wednesday the morning, expressing his shock that he did not make it into the Hall.
