Davante Adams Excited for Las Vegas Reunion With Key Part of Packers Offense

The Las Vegas Raiders are entering the offseason with a ton of excitement, as Antonio Pierce is taking over as head coach with Tom Telesco as general manager. Pierce’s first key move was hiring former Chicago Bears OC Luke Getsy as the offensive coordinator, and that decision went over well with one Raiders’ star.

Wide receiver Davante Adams spent seven seasons with Getsy while playing for the Green Bay Packers, and he said he is “really excited” that he will work with Getsy again.

“That was a good feeling knowing a guy that I’ve worked with,” Adams said, via ESPN’s Paul Gutierrez. “I know how he works, I know how his mind works and we’ve had success together. So it’s definitely exciting.”

Adams and Getsy were part of some explosive offenses in Green Bay, and they are hoping to re-discover that in Las Vegas. Of course, the Raiders’ quarterback situation is not settled, as rookie Aidan O’Connell ended last season as the starter.

Getsy was the Bears’ offensive coordinator for the past two seasons, and he failed to lead that offense to the same heights as Green Bay’s. However, the 39-year-old will get a second chance with the Raiders, and he already has a huge voice on his side.
