2022 UC Commit Daniel Skillings Posts big Performance at Play by Play Classic

CINCINNATI — A UC men's basketball commit put on a great performance just before the Christmas holiday. Daniel Skillings dropped 30 points in Roman Catholic High School's (Pa.) latest victory at the Play by Play Classic against Salesanium High School.

The 6-foot-6, 185-pound shooting guard is one of the top players in Pennsylvania and committed to Cincinnati on Sept. 23. Rivals and 247Sports have him rated as a four-star prospect in the Class of 2022.

He is Rivals 22nd ranked shooting guard and 106th-ranked player overall. Skillings is 247Sports 15th-ranked shooting guard and 113th overall. The latter site has him No. 3 among all 2022 players in Pennsylvania.

Skillings is part of a 2022 UC class that includes three-star small forward Josh Reed and three-star center Sage Tolentino. According to 247Sports, the class ranks 28th nationally and second behind Houston among AAC teams.

Skillings, Tolentino, and Reed will be ready to roll as the future of the program. Time will tell which current UC veterans tap into the extra year of eligibility brought on by the pandemic.
