Ahmad 'Sauce' Gardner Gets Picked by 'America's Team' in Latest Mock Draft
CINCINNATI — Ahmad 'Sauce' Gardner and the Bearcats are already Dallas-bound. They play the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Cotton Bowl on Dec. 31.
Could Gardner end up in Texas after his days with the Bearcats are done?
The star cornerback falls to the Cowboys at No. 26 overall in Pro Football Focus' latest mock draft.
"A physical, uber-talented cover corner, Cincinnati’s Ahmad Gardner had one of the most impressive seasons we’ve ever seen for a college cornerback," Austin Gayle wrote. "He played 448 coverage snaps and allowed receptions on just 17-of-36 targets for 117 yards and zero touchdowns."
Gardner is the sixth cornerback off the board in this mock draft. Joining a star like Trevon Diggs in Dallas would be ideal for the standout defensive back.
Derek Stingley, Roger McCreary, Kaiir Elam, Trent McDuffie and Andrew Booth are taken ahead of Gardner.
