Jeremiah Davenport Named to AAC Weekly Honor Roll
CINCINNATI — UC men's basketball had to act quickly to schedule its 71-57 win against Ashland University, but it brought out a great offensive performance from Jeremiah Davenport.
The AAC named Davenport to its weekly honor roll this week, highlighting his 22-point performance on Saturday. He also poured in 16 points in the Bearcats' Tuesday win over Florida A&M 77-50.
Since his rough 0-for-6 outing against Monmouth, Davenport is hitting over 40% of three-point attempts. He's formed a clever two-man game with David Dejulius and is figuring out what works on an offense still gelling with one non-conference game remaining.
Davenport averaged 19 points, three rebounds, and one assist last week. He shot 50% from the field and 42.1% from deep on 9.5 attempts per game. He'll try to keep the hot shooting going against Tennessee Tech on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
