The last couple of weeks have been very busy for the Notre Dame Staff. The coaches have been making the rounds on the recruiting trail, visiting the schools of various talented recruits in the 2024, 2025 and even 2026 recruiting classes.

Over the last week, we have seen a new commitment, a fresh top school list, another official visitor and several offers extended. Let’s recap yet another busy week for the Irish program. It promises not to slow down anytime soon.

RECRUITING NEWS

Monday got started off with a bang with an early morning commitment from 2024 Roanoke (Va.) Patrick Henry linebacker Bodie Kahoun. That commitment was expected but the exact timing wasn’t completely known. Kahoun gives the program yet another talented linebacker to continue to build with heading into the future.

After he made his pledge, Kahoun went in depth on the decision to pick Notre Dame. It turned out not to be just one thing, it was the full scope for what the program can offer.

Irish Breakdown also had a chance to sit down with Lee Johnson, who is the defensive coordinator at Patrick Henry High School. He gave some insight into what Kahoun brings to the table, including some massive upside as a linebacker on the next level.

Earlier in the week, Max Torres from Ducks Digest was at a showcase at Williams Field High School. Notre Dame safety commit Kennedy Urlacher was at the event. Torres caught up with the Arizona standout after the action to talk a little bit about his pledge to the Irish.

The recruitment of 2024 Peculiar (Mo.) Raymore tight end Jaden Reddell has been an interesting one. All momentum seemed to have died during the unofficial visit several weeks ago but this week, Reddell included Notre Dame amongst his top schools list and also locked in an official visit.

One of the new recruits added to the board this week was 2025 Lufkin (Texas) High School defensive tackle Zion Williams. The talented defender is the teammate of 2023 running back target Kedren Young. Williams took the time to talk a little bit about his recruitment, and the Irish offer.

With quarterback CJ Carr already committed in the 2024 class, Notre Dame is busy recruiting several talented signal callers in 2025. One of the more dynamic names is Lucedale (Miss.) George County signal caller Deuce Knight. He has become an early priority for the Irish, which a lot of credit must go to quarterback coach Gino Guidugli.

Knight is not the only quarterback that Coach Guidugli has been checking in on. On Friday, he traveled to the school of Lawrence (Mass.) Central Catholic passer Blake Herbert. He is the former teammate of Irish 2023 linebacker signee Preston Zinter, but is very talented in his own right.

With the 2024 class for Notre Dame coming together quickly, I took a look at a few of the recruits who could be set for big senior year rises next season on both offense and defense. That includes some commits, as well as a few key targets for the team.
