Auburn has been a rising tide in college basketball, as the team is off to the third-best start in program history with a 14-0 record. Auburn made its first Final Four appearance last season, the farthest the team had ever gone in the NCAA tournament, and now, the Tigers are one of two unbeaten teams remaining college basketball. Despite missing its top three-scorers from a year ago, the team ebbs and flows well together with seniors Samir Doughty and Austin Wiley having impactful seasons. Auburn has fought close battles, and with a well-rounded but scrappy talent, SI’s Amy Campbell says this years’ squad has the potential to make another deep run in March.
