Josh Speidel, former prep basketball standout, suffered a traumatic brain injury in a car accident his senior year of high school. Five years later he achieved a career highlight as a senior on Vermont's basketball team. On Vermont's Senior Night vs. Albany, Speidel scored his first career points as a collegiate athlete. The Catamounts defeated Albany, 85–62. Vermont is looking to make the NCAA tournament for the third straight year.
