On Wednesday, the final Top 25 from The Associated Press was released, and unsurprisingly Kansas sat atop at No. 1. It’s the team’s fourth time finishing the regular season on top since the poll’s inception in 1949. Kansas finished the regular season at 28-3 and had hopes of a deep tournament run before the coronavirus pandemic put a halt to all NCAA athletics. Gonzaga and Dayton finished No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. The Jayhawks have won three NCAA tournament championships, the most recent in 2008.
