Brandon McCarthy and his beard were traded to the Yankees on Sunday, although the beard technically wasn't part of the deal.

The beard will be a mere afterthought once McCarthy reports to the Yankees, who have a policy of no facial hair beyond a mustache.

McCarthy's wife, Amanda, is thrilled about the thought of her man clean-shaven.

McCarthy only has some short scruff, so it shouldn't be a major change for him. But if the Yankees acquire Brian Wilson, get your buzzers ready!
