A young fan cried when Brett Lawrie was traded, so he paid her a visit

When Brett Lawrie was traded from the Blue Jays to the A's in the deal that sent Josh Donaldson to Toronto, a six-year-old girl named Amelia was very upset.

When Brett Lawrie was traded from the Blue Jays to the A's in the deal that sent Josh Donaldson to Toronto, a six-year-old girl named Amelia was very upset. 

Amelia's father filmed her crying over Lawrie's departure. "They're never gonna wanna trade back," she wailed.

The video went viral and has been viewed over 100,000 times, including by Lawrie himself, who decided to pay Amelia a visit. 

Amelia seems to have cheered up. Maybe she's seen Donaldson's stats.
