The San Francisco 49ers may have been absent from the NFL Playoffs this season, but that doesn't mean linebacker Patrick Willis was done playing just yet, USA Today's Tom Pelissero reports.

On Thursday, Distinctive Games will release a new mobile video game dubbed "Football Unleashed" with Willis as the star.

Don't expect a Madden-like experience, however. Instead, the game will be similar to the old NFL Blitz games with no penalties.

The arcade-style game will be available on iPads and iPhones, with Willis prominently featured in the game. Willis' tattoos will even appear in the game, like his teammate Colin Kaepernick's tattoos in EA Sports Madden 15.

"I like it because it gives me a feel of what I always wanted," Willis said. "I wanted a game that was easy to play but also had a little bit more style."
