Ohio State star Ezekiel Elliott’s family had a scare on Monday when they discovered that someone had broken into their house in Columbus and let out their family dog, Chase.

Ohio State star Ezekiel Elliott’s family had a scare on Monday when they discovered that someone had broken into their house in Columbus and let out their family dog, Chase.

Elliott quickly asked his Twitter followers to help with the search for the dog, after his father went out to feed the animal and found someone had cut a hole in its chain link enclosure in the backyard.

ABC-6 News in Columbus reports that Tuesday morning brought good news for the family, as someone called and said they had found the dog and would be returning it.

The dog got his name from the Buckeyes 2014 team mantra “The Chase” which referred to Ohio State’s ultimately successful quest to win the first College Football Playoffs.
