Watch these Swedes use their curling skills to save a wild boar

Wild Boar Curling is the hottest new sport in Sweden.

Curling has a lot of detractors, with some questioning the athleticism necessary for the cold-weather team sport, including Charles Barkley, who opines, “Curling is not a sport. I called my grandmother and told her she could win a gold medal because they have dusting in the Olympics now.”

The haters might need to reconsider their opinions though as there is now video evidence that the sport saves lives.

Two Swedish ice skaters used their curling skills to rescue a wild boar that had become trapped on a frozen lake that was too slippery for its hooves.

The next time you are going to scoff at curling, remember that it could be your path to safety the next time you are stuck on an icy lake in Sweden.
