Check again, Jeff.
Quick, what team is Danny Woodhead on?
Although the lovable pass-catching running back cut his teeth playing for the Patriots, he is on the Chargers. He is unfortunately on injured reserve, and has been since the start of the season.
Well, Jeff Fisher, head coach of the Los Angeles Rams, does not seem to know this. The Rams and Patriots play a football game against each other...this week.
On conference call, Rams HC Jeff Fisher said Danny Woodhead is a playmaker for the Patriots. Woodhead is on IR and plays for the Chargers— Matthew Cannata (@PhinsiderRadio) November 30, 2016
The full quote, via NESN:
“I’ve been impressed with Brandon and what he’s done out of the backfield. You’ve got to deal with him, in addition to Danny. You’ve got playmakers all around, so we have to play sound defense.”
We think Brandon is Brandon Bolden, who is still a Patriot but plays almost entirely on special teams.
Hope that game prep is going well, Jeff.
