Watch: Pro wrestler disarms man with gun, slams him to the ground

A guy threatened former WWE wrestler Shad Gaspard with a gun and learned that was a very bad idea.

Former WWE wrestler Shad Gaspard had a show Saturday night in Florida, but he wasn’t done throwing guys to ground when he left the ring.

After the match, Gaspard stopped at a gas station for a drink. That’s when a guy confronted him with a gun.

Gaspard ripped the gun from the guy’s hands, took him outside, threw him to the ground and held him down until the cops came.

Gaspard said the suspect, 35-year-old Jason Felix, got angry when Gaspard refused to buy him a beer.

“He lifts up his shirt and he reaches and grabs a gun,” Gaspard told Local 10 News reporter Hatzel Vela. “So he puts the gun into his waist belt and he goes, ‘You need to get out of here, man, because I'm about to rob this place.’”

Gaspard, who now works as an actor while also wrestling on the indie circuit, told Local 10 News that the move he used to subdue the suspect was one of from his days as a bodyguard, not a wrestling technique.

The gun, it turns out, was just a BB gun. Gaspard told TMZ he found that out when he squeezed the handle so hard it broke.
