World No. 2 golfer Rory McIlroy captured the career Grand Slam in epic fashion on Sunday at The Masters, winning the elusive green jacket in a playoff over Justin Rose.

McIlroy's day, which featured as many bad shots as brilliant ones, culminated on the first playoff hole when McIlroy made a short birdie putt that he missed in regulation. He crumbled to his knees in celebration upon making the putt, and the tears were flowing as he became just the sixth golfer in the modern era to capture The Masters, U.S. Open, PGA Championship and Open Championship in his career.

McIlroy made sure to update his Instagram account to ensure the world knew what he achieved on Sunday.

His bio on his personal account now reads "Grand Slam winner." His picture? None other than him holding The Masters championship trophy while sporting the green jacket.

McIlroy will now try to ride the momentum into May's PGA Championship at Quail Hollow in Charlotte, a course where the 35-year-old has won four times in his career.
