California high school football playoff scores, CIF Section title updates (11/25/2023)

The 2023 CA high school football playoffs continue with CIF Section championship games across the state

Championship weekend has arrived for dozens of California high school football teams. Section champions will be crowned across all 10 CIF Section on Friday and Saturday (November 24 and 25), and you can follow all of the playoff games on SBLive.

From the Northern Section to the Southern Section, this weekend's schedule is filled with must-watch championship games, including multiple rivalry games. In the Northern Section, rivals Chico and Pleasant Valley will face off in the Division 2 championship game on Saturday at 7 p.m. 

In the Southern Section, rivals Mater Dei and St. John Bosco met in the Division 1 championship game on Friday, and the Monarchs prevailed 35-7. Mater Dei's win not only determined the CIF-SS D1 champion, but it will also have national championship implications. Both teams come into the game ranked in the top 5 in the SBLive/Sports Illustrated Power 25 national football rankings
