Jaime Ffrench, 5-star 2025 wide receiver, decommits from Alabama

Ffrench is the second 5-star wide receiver to decommit from Alabama since Nick Saban's retirement

Since Nick Saban announced he was retiring last week, many Alabama commitments mulled over whether to remain a Crimson Tide commit or not.

First domino to fall was 5-star wide receiver Ryan Williams. Now add another 5-star wideout to that list.

According to On3's Hayes Fawcett, Mandarin 2025 wide receiver Jaime Ffrench has officially decommitted from Alabama. Ffrench, a 5-star wide receiver according to 247Sports, is coming off a stellar season in helping the Mustangs reach the Class 4M state championship game.

Though Alabama moved quickly to hire former Washington head coach Kalen DeBoer, that hasn't stopped recruits from deciding to reopen their options.

Ffrench was undoubtedly one of the Sunshine State's top wide receivers in 2023, with the junior hauling in 62 passes for 1,247 yards and 14 touchdowns.

The highly coveted pass catcher will have his pick of the litter when it comes to where he wants to go collegiate wise, with offers from major Power Five schools like Colorado, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, Penn State and Tennessee.
