Our Lady of Mount Carmel finishes as Maryland's No. 1 boys basketball team for the first time ever; Bullis, DeMatha, St. Frances and Archbsihop Spalding round out the Top 5

The Maryland boys high school basketball season is over after the state public tournament concluded with championship games at the University of Maryland’s XFINITY Center over the weekend..

Now, it’s time to reveal High School on SI’s final Maryland Top 25 rankings.

After winning its first Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) A Conference and Baltimore Catholic League championship, Our Lady of Mount Carmel is No. 1. Bullis School, which won another Interstate Athletic Conference title and captured the Maryland Private School State crown, finishes No. 2.

DeMatha Catholic, St. Frances Academy and Archbishop Spalding complete the Top 5. Largo headlines the three state public champions in the final poll. 

The Lions, who claimed their second straight Class 2A crown, is No. 9 with Laurel climbing from No. 23 to 10th after winning its first title since 1980 with the 4A championship. Baltimore City College is No. 15 after a second 3A title in three seasons.
