Top 25 Maryland Boys High School Basketball State Rankings (3/10/2025)

MPSSAA state semifinals and finals cap off the 2024-25 Maryland high school basketball season this week

The Maryland high school basketball season has reached its final week. The state public tournament concludes with championship games at the University of Maryland’s Xfinity Center. 

Our Lady of Mount Carmel is No. 1 ranking in this week’s High School on SI Maryland boys Top 25 poll, followed by Bullis School which won the Maryland Private School State championship. DeMatha Catholic, St. Frances Academy and Archbishop Spalding complete the Top 5.

No. 9 Largo (Class 2A) and No. 17 Edmondson-Westside (1A) will try to defend their respective state public titles, but will have to overcome semifinal challenges first. 

State semifinal matches take place Tuesday and Wednesday at neutral sites.

The Bulldogs won the Maryland Private School State Tournament title, beating then-No. 10 Clinton Grace Christian, 52-37, in the final, and then-No. 2 DeMatha Catholic, 69-54, in the semifinals.

The Stags lost to then-No. 3 Bullis School in the Maryland Private School State semifinals. 

4. ST. FRANCES ACADEMY (29-8)

The Warriors advanced to the Maryland Class 3A state semifinals, defeating Atholton, 78-32, in the quarterfinals, then-No. 9 James Hubert Blake (55-47) in the West Region II final and Colonel Zadok Magruder (77-42) in the 3A West Region II semifinals.
