When you know, you know.

Lafayette Christian Academy (Louisiana) four-star cornerback Ju'Juan Johnson re-opened his recruitment following a commitment to the Colorado Buffaloes last month.

Almost immediately, it seemed Johnson was set on a future a whole lot closer to home.

On Monday, the 5-foot-11, 178-pound cornerback announced his commitment to the LSU Tigers on "The Jordy Cullotta Show."

Johnson is rated the nation's No. 220 overall prospect, No. 22 cornerback and No. 7 player in the state of Louisiana.

For LSU, it has been a clean sweep for top in-state recruits.

So far, four of Louisiana's top seven prospects have announced their commitments, and all four have chosen the Tigers - East Felciana tight end Trey'Dez Green (No. 2), Denham Springs safety Dashawn McBryde (No. 5), Destrehan linebacker Kolaj Cobbins (No. 6)  and Johnson (No. 7).

Even better, it's a trend that could continue, as LSU is either the favorite or a major contender for the rest of the group, highlighted by Acadiana five-star defensive lineman Dominick McKinley.

With Johnson in the fold, LSU's current 15-man 2024 class is rated No. 5 nationally
