DJ Lagway's 6 TDs lead Willis past Oak Ridge in Texas high school football showdown
The DJ Lagway train keeps rolling.
Lagway tossed six touchdown passes to lead Willis to a 49-35 win over Conroe Oak Ridge to close out the regular season District 14-6A, Region II champions.
Week after week, the 6-foot-2, 225-pound Lagway fives Florida Gators fans a new reason to get excited for the QB, who 247 Sports pegs as the No. 2 arm in the country and No. 3 prospect in Texas in 2024.
Lagway, the 5-star Florida commit, entered the game with 3,218 yards, 54 total touchdowns (45 passing, nine rushing) and five interceptions on the season for Willis (10-0).

His fifth touchdown came on a 54-yard run that put the Wildkats up 49-28 with five minutes left.
Justin Williams got to Lagway three times — including two in a row — for a trio of first half sacks.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Georgia-committed linebacker it the nation's No. 1 linebacker, No. 9 prospect and top recruit in Texas in 2024.
