Vote: Who was Utah's High School Football Player of the Week in Week 2?

Utah high school football featured more top performers in Week 2 of the 2026 season.

Rich quarterback Wilkes Weston accounted for six touchdowns, Hillcrest quarterback K'Von Houston threw for 411 yards and five TDs, and his teammate Taft Ashby registered 13 tackles and two sacks on defense.

Those are just three of this week's nominees for High School On SI Utah Football Player of the Week.

Utah high school football player of the week — High School On SI

Diesel Dart, Corner Canyon

Dart stepped up on both sides of the ball with a rushing touchdown, a receiving touchdown, and two interceptions in Corner Canyon's 40-7 victory over Timpview.

Tate Patterson, Corner Canyon

In the same game, Patterson registered 11 tackles (four solo) and one sack for the Chargers.

Filisi Filipe, Herriman

Filipe stepped up once again, as he rushed for four touchdowns (including two in the fourth quarter) and 240 yards on 22 carries in Herriman's 40-36 win over Stansbury.

Easton Favero, Logan

Favero, a senior quarterback, went 21-of-29 for 388 passing yards and five touchdowns in Logan's 49-20 win over Preston.

Jase Pingree, Logan

In the same game, the senior wide receiver Pingree registered 10 catches for 249 yards and two touchdowns.

Noah Fiefia, Ridgeline

Fiefia rushed for an impressive 213 yards and four touchdowns on 29 carries in Ridgeline's 31-9 blowout win over Park City.

K'Von Houston, Hillcrest

Houston, a senior quarterback, went 26-of-37 for 411 passing yards and five touchdowns in Hillcrest's 53-7 blowout win over Deer Creek.

Taft Ashby, Hillcrest

In the same game, the junior Ashby registered 13 tackles and two sacks on defense for the Huskies.

Charlie Gates, Alta

Gates, a senior, had 11 tackles (nine solo, three TFL) in Alta's close 13-12 victory over Bingham.

Bode Sparrow, Davis

Sparrow, a senior and Oklahoma commit, returned a kickoff 80 yards for a score and also had an eight-yard touchdown reception in Davis' 56-28 win over Fremont.

Wilkes Weston, Rich

Weston, a senior quarterback, went 11-of-17 for 217 passing yards and three touchdowns, and ran for 195 yards and three scores in Rich's 65-19 blowout victory over Milford.

Brady Muir, Mountain Crest

Muir, a senior quarterback, completed 24 of 31 passes for 367 yards and four touchdowns in Mountain Crest's 46-15 win over Wasatch.
