Kiki Rice leads Sidwell Friends over Centennial (Nevada) in 2022 State Champions Invitational semifinals
TAMPA, Fla.- The Sidwell Friends (Washington, D.C.) Lady Quakers showed the nation why they’re the number one seed in the inaugural State Champions Invitational with an impressive 63-30 rout of Centennial (Nevada) on Friday afternoon.
The Lady Quakers were led by UCLA signee Kiki Rice who finished with a game-high 17 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists. Sophomore guard Leah Harmon added 14 points and junior Jadyn Donovan added 12 points.
“I have to give a lot of credit to my teammates for contributing and I'm hoping we can all go out together as national champs tomorrow,” Rice said.
The Quakers jumped out to a 19-7 lead after the first quarter and 34-10 at halftime.
“These girls played amazing in every statistic of the game today,” said Sidwell Friends head coach Tamika Dudley.
The Quakers held Centennial to a season-low 23.5 percent (12-of-51) from the field and 0-of-12 from the 3-point line.
Kaniya Boyd led the Bulldogs (18-4) with eight points, on 3-of-7 shooting from the field.
The Quakers will look to finish off their season with a perfect 30-0 record as they’ll face Lake Highland Prep (Florida) on Saturday at 10 a.m. ET on ESPNU.
