After Ichiro Suzuki recorded his 3,000th career hit on Sunday, many of his fellow players offered their congratulations.
After he passed the milestone, numerous MLB players, including his current and former teammates, passed along well wishes and congratulations.
Ichiro, 42, said in an interview with ESPN last month that he wants to play until he’s 50 years old.
Ichiro led the majors in hits seven times and is a two-time batting champ. In his first North American season in 2001, he became the first MLB player to be named MVP and Rookie of the Year in the same season.
