2023 was finally supposed to be the year for Anthony Rendon. After his first two seasons in Anaheim were riddled with injuries and a number of fans questioning whether or not he deserved his large contract, he was slated by many as being the comeback player of the year.

Well, it was quite the interesting start for him this season as he had his bright moments but also got into a dispute with an Oakland fan, struggled with his power on hits from time to time, and is currently sidelined with a groin injury. He hasn't suited up in about two weeks and has some missed some big games.

However, LA has two huge road series against some AL rivals in the Chicago White Sox and Houston Astros coming ups next and it's looking like that's when the former champion is aiming to return by.

"Anthony Rendon (groin) did some agility work on the field Saturday, for the second straight day. He still hasn’t taken grounders or taken batting practice. It’s unclear when he’ll return. Nevin said he’d be on the Angels’ trip to Chicago and Houston."

It would be huge to have Rendon back for both of these series as the Halos look to continue climbing the rankings after an improved couple of weeks in play. They will see the White Sox for the first time this year and even they sit below .500, LA still must approach each game with the same mentality.

And the Astros are the lone team sitting between the Angels and Rangers in the AL West standings. LA was not prepared the last time they played Houston a healthy Rendon would go a long way to try and get their revenge.

We wish Rendon the best of luck with his recovery process as always!
