The prevailing theme around the Angels of late was that this season was going to end with more disappointment, and another October would pass with the Halos on the outside looking in.

Well things may be starting to change after the Angels got a huge series win with a 7-5 victory over the Pirates on Friday, keyed by a 4-run 5th inning. The Halos are now just four games back in the race for the final wild card spot, and it's looking more likely that the Angels could be playing big games down the stretch.

That said, more rumors surrounding Shohei Ohtani continue to circulate with the trade deadline one week away, and Angels' third baseman Anthony Rendon got some bad news as he tries to work his way back onto the field. You can read all of that and so much more down below!
