In this story:

Your Los Angeles Angels are coming off of an electric week and there was no better time for them to really start figuring things out. Even though it is a small sample size, their bullpen is looking poised whenever it's their turn to take the mound, the outfielders are handling business, and LA is on a 6-1 streak.

They will face the Texas Rangers, number one in their Al West division, and that will be one of their biggest tests all year to see if they can indeed compete with the top clubhouses in the MLB. We are just one week removed from LA losing three out of four to the Houston Astros, second in the AL West, and they were able to regroup after that.

As of now, the Halos will see a rotation of Tyler Anderson, Jaime Barria, Reid Detmers, and Shohei Ohtani all take the mound so they will have to come ready to face a squad that leads the entire league in batting average and on-base percentage.

Respect No Matter What

Team manager Phil Nevin was super happy to see his squad put forth some bounce-back effort the entire week and commit very few flaws in their wins.

He also looked back to the Houston series in which they were able to win at least the very last game before beginning their dominant homestead and pinpointed that as something that gave them motivation. Nevin knows how hard it is to compete with a team of their capabilities and beliefs it will prepare them for their next series against Texas.

“We finished with a win in Houston, and we brought it back home, going 5-1,” Angels manager Phil Nevin said. “It was a very nice week at home. That was a good baseball team over there. You’re going to see them until the end. They know what it takes. They’ve been places we haven’t been, and to beat a team like that is a shot in the arm for the whole room.”

LA will definitely look to defy all odds this coming week.
