Braves Briefing: Today is trade deadline day

Happy MLB trade deadline day to all who celebrate.
The Atlanta Braves are reportedly in the market for a pitcher, which seems like a clever idea to most people who follow Atlanta.
Injuries have slowed down the production from the mound and Alex Anthopoulos is expected to make a move to bolster depth to help Atlanta down the stretch.
According to MLB Network's Jon Paul Morosi, the Braves are among several teams that have reported interest in a starting pitcher.
We have until 6:00 pm ET to find out.

We wrote it
Charlie Morton was bit by the solo home run bug in Monday's action. Here's what we wrote in the Monday takeaways from the action.
Charlie Morton had a solid outing, but three solo home runs ruined the Monday night start for the Braves veteran.
Morton struck out eight in six innings and kept the Angels' offense at bay, including pitching through a tough situation in the first inning that put him behind on his pitch count for the evening.
The relief pitching kept Atlanta in the game. AJ Minter and Pierce Johnson both got through a full inning with no damage done. Daysbel Hernández gave up a run in the ninth.
Here are all the takeaways from Monday's action.
What's next for the Atlanta Braves
The Atlanta Braves will host game two of the series against the Los Angeles Angles on Tuesday at 7:20 ET. The radio call, with Ben Ingram, is available locally on 680 AM/93.7 FM The Fan or outside the Atlanta market on the Atlanta Braves Radio Network or MLB.com.
