Lineup, how to watch Atlanta's Saturday afternoon matchup with the Cincinnati Reds

Atlanta comes off of a close series-opening loss and looks to get back in the win column behind the left arm of Jared Shuster

Last night's 11-10 Reds victory over Atlanta had EVERYTHING: twenty-three hits, twenty-one runs, nine homeruns, six stolen bases, and a cycle from the #1 prospect in all of baseball, Cincinnati's Elly De La Cruz

How do you follow that?

Well, Atlanta's hoping to do it with a victory. Sending Jared Shuster to the mound, the Braves are hoping for a much more calmer and normal game that'll end in a Braves victory and set up Atlanta to win their seventh straight series on Sunday.

But Graham Ashcraft is back from the injured list to start for Cincinnati today, and Elly De La Cruz, Joey Votto, and the rest of this red-hot Reds lineup plan to keep the winning streak alive.

Lineup for the Atlanta Braves on Saturday, June 24th

Here's how the Braves will line up for the contest:

As expected, Travis d'Arnaud makes another start at catcher for an ailing Sean Murphy, who is reportedly available to hit in this series, but not play behind the plate. Eddie Rosario (batting 7th) is in left field while DH Marcell Ozuna is batting 5th. Matt Olson, fresh off two home runs last night, is your cleanup hitter.

Pitching Matchup for the Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds on Saturday, June 24th

Starting for the Braves is Jared Shuster. The lefty is 4-2 with a 4.57 ERA in his eight starts on the season, covering forty-one and a third innings. He's struck out only twenty-three, walking twenty-two, but has excelled at preventing hard contact, giving up a below-average 5.4% barrel rate, an 84th percentile number for all of baseball. He's a fly-ball pitcher, though, so that's always a danger in Great American "Small" Park. He's never faced the Reds, and none of their hitters have an-bat against him.

Coming off the IL to oppose Shuster is Graham Ashcraft. The big righty is 3-5 with a 6.78 ERA in his thirteen starts this season, covering sixty-five innings. He was put on the IL on June 8th after taking a comebacker off the calf at 105.5 mph by Austin Barnes of the Dodgers, and is returning after the minimum fifteen days without a rehab stint. He faced Atlanta in Truist Park earlier this season, going six innings with six hits, two runs, and three walks to seven strikeouts in an eventual 5-4 Atlanta win. No Braves hitter has taken him deep, but both Ronald Acuña Jr and Sean Murphy have multiple hits against him, with Orlando Arcia and Austin Riley also collecting hits in the contest. Travis d'Arnaud and Michael Harris have never faced him, as they were out of the lineup during that series.
