The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Washington Nationals 6-1 on Monday night, thanks to another dominant outing from star rookie RHP Bobby Miller.

Miller went six innings, allowing just one run and four hits while striking out four, earning his second career win in as many starts.

Through two starts at the MLB level, Miller has allowed just two earned runs in 11 innings, good for an impressive 1.64 ERA.

Following Miller's strong MLB debut against a tough Braves lineup in Atlanta last week, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts was noncommittal about his future in the rotation past Monday against the Nationals. However, after Monday's start, he confirmed that Miller's first stint in the MLB was not finished quite yet.

After the game, Roberts told reporters that Miller would be getting his next scheduled start in the rotation, which will come on Sunday Night Baseball against the New York Yankees at Dodger Stadium — talk about a big stage.

So, in his first three career MLB starts, he'll face the then-NL best Braves, the Nationals in his Dodger Stadium debut and then the high-powered Yankees offense in a renewed rivalry on primetime Sunday Night Baseball.

The Dodgers are ecstatic about Miller, and he's lived up to all the hype so far. He's consistently hitting 99+ mph on his fastballs and sinkers, and showing an array of dominant secondary pitches.

Miller is only going to get better the more time he spends with the Dodgers, but as of now, the team couldn't have asked for anything more from their top pitching prospect.

Between Julio Urias and Dustin May's injuries to Noah Syndergaard's struggles, the Dodgers' rotation desperately needed someone to step up. Miller has been that guy, and as long as he keeps pitching like this, he's going to be that guy for a very long time.

Congrats to Miller on an impressive first two starts in his MLB career. Let's see what he has in store when the lights are brightest this Sunday night against the Yankees.
