The Dodgers were hit with yet another injury on Wednesday when RHP Dustin May was placed on the injured list with a flexor pronator strain. May has no timetable for a return, however, the Dodgers are going to give him a PRP injection, in the hopes that he's able to return within four to six weeks.

With May out, though, the Dodgers are going to need someone to fill his spot in the rotation. Rookie RHP Gavin Stone feels like the obvious choice to come up and take his starts, especially since RHPs Ryan Pepiot and Michael Grove remain on the injured list.

However, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said on Wednseday that the team hadn't yet decided who would replace May in the rotation. They did, however, know who would be coming up to take May's spot on the active roster in the immediate.

"We do know that with Dustin’s spot, we’re going to bring back Justin Bruihl," Roberts said. "And then obviously, most likely, there might be another move."

Bruihl was optioned on Wednesday when the team added RHP Dylan Covey to the active roster. Bruihl wasn't sent down due to performance, rather, for the mere fact that he had pitched three days in a row and the Dodgers desperately needed another arm.

Bruihl would have had to stay a little longer if not for an injury. However, with May going on the IL, Bruihl is able to come right back up to the Dodgers.

Since he pitched three straight days on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, he'll likely still get another day off or two to reset. But Bruihl has enjoyed a great year so far in the Dodgers pen, and will look to continue that dominance now that he's back.

As for the other move, the Dodgers will have a few days before they need to call someone up to replace May's spot in the rotation. But I do think it will be Stone, if for no other reason than they don't have many other options. But either way, Stone deserves this opportunity and should get it.

May's spot in the rotation is scheduled to come up on Monday against the Braves.
