The biggest story of the Dodgers' 7-3 win over the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday is the injury to right-handed pitcher Dustin May. He's going to be out for at least a month, but probably longer. However, May wasn't the only Dodger who left Wednesday's game banged up.

Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy banged his knee on the wall in foul territory in the seventh inning and was able to stay in the game. However, after the game, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Muncy was dealing with swelling in his knee, and that they'll check in on him tomorrow for any further issues.

Muncy has been battling all year long, so this is the last thing he needs.

Muncy struggled to start the year, but broke out in the middle of April on his way to winning a National League Player of the Week Award. Then, he went on paternity leave, got sick and struggled for two weeks.

Finally, though, Muncy seemed to get back to being himself this week against the Twins. On Monday, he put together a two-home-run game, retaking the MLB home run lead and reasserting himself as one of baseball's premier power hitters.

Muncy seemed to finally be shaking the illness, and was ready to take off yet again. We can only hope that this knee issue is minor, and it doesn't keep him out of the lineup. Moreover, though, we can hope that it doesn't affect his performance, because the sickness already did more than enough of that for the last few weeks.

The Dodgers need Muncy to be at his best for this offense to thrive, so hopefully the swelling goes down and he's right back in the lineup ready to go on Thursday.

If not, though, the Dodgers will probably look to Chris Taylor to play some third base until Muncy is back to full health.
