Ah yes, the trade deadline. The time when moving vans are driving across the interstate, families are uprooting themselves and moving across the country.

All the while, Lance Lynn is doing interviews saying that he's "Not mad at the four [teams] that are in on [him]." The Dodgers are among the teams with reported interest on the former AL All-Star right-hander, which he addressed on Thursday's edition of the Foul Territory show.

Rumors swirled around that Lynn might've been heading off to Tampa Bay, then reports came in that the Dodgers were in on him, and now there are apparently two other teams that are interested in the 36-year-old righty.

"I think of the teams that are interested, every one of them are in first place, so there's some people out there that still think I can get it done."

He went on to say that he's looking forward to making a run, and having a different perspective down the stretch, so needless to say, the White Sox are willing to part with him, and Lynn wants to go to a contender.

After trading Lucas Giolito to the Angels late Wednesday night, the White Sox have made it clear that one of their pitchers is off the block, and that is Dylan Cease, but Lynn is still fair game for anyone.

This season, Lynn has pitched to a 6.47 ERA, 144 strikeouts, and a 6-9 record in 21 starts, so it hasn't been his best season. But one of his potential suitors has a history of taking slumping players and turning them in to stars.

The Dodgers took Max Muncy and Justin Turner from minor league free agent signings to NL All-Stars, and they've revitalized the career of J.D. Martinez, who was named an All-Star this year.

Who's to say the Dodgers can't use Lynn as a second half rental and get the most out of him while they still can?
